Sophie Larivière has played in l’Ensemble Caprice, of which she is Co-Artistic Director, since 1997. As such, she contributes to enriching the Ensemble's unique vision, inviting musical discoveries that combine virtuosity and expressiveness. With l’Ensemble Caprice, Sophie has performed in countless concerts, notably in London at the Lufthansa Festival of Baroque Music, in Israël in Tel Aviv and at the Mediterranean Arts Festival, in Vienna, Berlin, Regensburg and Stuttgart, in the United States in Los Angeles, New York, Washington and Chicago, as well as at the Boston Early Music Festival, and in Canada in Edmonton, Vancouver, as well as through the Atlantic Debut network.

A supple, flexible and expressive performer, Sophie Larivière is regularly invited to collaborate by several early music ensembles. These include the Arion Orchestre Baroque de Montréal, l’Opéra de Montréal, Le Studio de Musique ancienne de Montréal, La Nouvele Sinfonie, le Theatre of Early Music, Rebel (New York), Les Violons du Roy (Québec), le Trinity Choir (New York) et le Concert Spirituel (Paris). She has recorded with the labels Analekta, Virgin Classics, Atma Classique, Antes Edition et Interdisc, and teaches at CÉGEP de Saint-Laurent.
